Democracy is the spirit of the Constitution

Democracy has been alluded to in the purest and simple form as rule by the people.

This having been said tilts my personal understanding of the phenomenon as one which is hinged on the voice of the people.

It moreover rings differently and is emphatic on certain crucial aspects given the communal setting from which I derive with Zimbabwe as my community.

One can therefore assert that democracy implies a society where the people’s voice is sacred and viewed as the core of every decision which state has to make and consultancy has to be effective.

It also has to envision the celebration, realization, and amplification of the political rights of marginalized societal groups as they form a large population cumulatively.

Moreover, in promoting their rights one is of the view that in democracy it should be executed equitably towards the view that the instigators ought to be blinded to gender, societal and economic difference.

Rather with a view of according every concerned individual to have a voice and a say in in the governmental issues that affect them.
