7.1 By 2030, ensure universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services
7.2 By 2030, increase substantially the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix
7.3 By 2030, double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency
7.A By 2030, enhance international cooperation to facilitate access to clean energy research and technology, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and advanced and cleaner fossil-fuel technology, and promote investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology
7.B By 2030, expand infrastructure and upgrade technology for supplying modern and sustainable energy services for all in developing countries, in particular least developed countries, small island developing States, and land-locked developing countries, in accordance with their respective programmes of support.
Zimbabwe is steadily advancing towards its vision of becoming an upper-middle-income society by 2030, guided by national strategies that are closely aligned with global and regional development agendas. The United Nations has walked this path alongside the country, supporting national priorities through coordinated, joined-up programmes that address food security, education, energy, jobs, digital connectivity and climate resilience. By localizing the SDGs across provinces and districts and strengthening national coordination and data systems, the partnership has turned ambition into tangible results for communities. Gains in health, food security and economic recovery signal that progress is real and momentum is building. With a continued focus on inclusion, innovation and leaving no one behind, the next phase of cooperation promises to deepen resilience, unlock opportunities for young people, and build a more prosperous and sustainable future for all Zimbabweans. The UN remains a committed partner in this journey — working together to translate stability into lasting transformation and hope into shared prosperity.
